Poundbury Phase 3 & 4
Dorchester, Dorset 2009
We have been working at Poundbury, The Prince of Wales’s ground-breaking development in Dorchester, for a number of years.
In 2009 we have brought forward the outline application for Phases 3 & 4 of Poundbury, providing some 1200 dwellings and 25,000m2 commercial and retail space. If granted permission, these two Phases will complete Poundbury.
We have worked closely with the masterplanner Leon Krier, Environs Partnership, The Duchy of Cornwall, and with West Dorset District Council in the preparation of this plan.
The project was approved in December 2011 and work on site will commence in the Spring of 2012. Working Group has just submitted the reserved matters application, with George Saumarez Smith of Adam Architecture, for the next 500 dwellings.
